We opened Little Tap in 2016 with a clear belief — that Tarporley deserved a proper independent bar, done well. A carefully chosen selection of craft beers and eclectic wines, served in a space that felt genuinely welcoming. It found its audience quickly, and we're incredibly proud of what it's become.
Little Tap grew into something that exceeded our own expectations — a real community hub, a go-to for locals and a happy discovery for visitors. The awards that followed meant a great deal, but it's the regulars who keep coming back that we're most proud of.
From that confidence came Terrarium — opened directly opposite on the High Street. A restaurant and cocktail bar with its own distinct character: seasonal small plates, local produce, and a menu that changes with the seasons. The same values, a different experience.
Together, we've built something we're genuinely proud of — two independent venues at the heart of a community we care deeply about. We never take it for granted.
